2026 Fall Gathering and Writing Retreat
We’re trying something different this year for the 2026 Fall Gathering. Our heart in this change is to create space for actual writing time and a rhythm of connecting with believers. From the inception, ICW has wanted to create community that meets in person. We have always wanted to host private writing time in a beautiful location.
So this October, we are meeting in McCall, Idaho, at The Scandia Inn for a casual writing retreat.
Scandia Inn, a lovely, private hotel has an outdoor common area where we can meet freely. Writers will be encouraged to write, brainstorm or fellowship. Bring your writing people, a spouse, or come to meet someone new.

How to Attend
You are responsible for your own reservations. Call the Scandia Inn in McCall and book your room before September 9. The ICW Group Rate is $225/room with all taxes and charges included. If you still want to go once the September 9 date has passed, consider calling the Scandia Inn anyway, just in case.
You are responsible for your own meals. We will have optional gatherings weather permitting, and depending on the number of participants. But ICW will not host any official group time or teaching over the weekend in McCall.
You are responsible for finding your own roommates (if desired.) We knew some people might want to bunk with their friends or critique group to save money and make brainstorming easier. But we also loved the idea of having the ability to create times of solitude and private writing if you lean towards not sharing a room. We will not facilitate any room sharing. Feel free to post in the Facebook group if you are looking for roommates.
You are responsible for your own transportation. But again, feel free to post in the Facebook Group if you want to share a car or car pool.
ICW does not receive anything from the Scandia Inn, we are merely facilitating the organization.
