Speaker and topic: Author and Speaker, Becky Avella, will explore different ways we can use rhythm to produce the moods and themes we desire to portray in our writing. We’ll also discuss practical and spiritual ways to calibrate the rhythms of our writing lives with the Master Storyteller, who invites us to “Come, follow Me.”
Becky Avella grew up in Washington State with her nose in a book and her imagination in the clouds. These days she spends her time dreaming up heart-pounding fiction full of romance and faith. Becky married a real-life hero and follows him around begging him to give her material she can use in her stories. She’s the author of two romantic suspense novels, Targeted and Crash Landing, and has been published in Victoria and Focus on the Family’s Brio magazines. Her latest work in progress is a fantasy series for middle grade readers.
Becky is also the author of the non-fiction book, And Then You Were Gone. After four miscarriages and two failed adoption attempts, she is no stranger to loss. Today she celebrates a healed heart and a joyful life. It is her passion to point others to that same healing.
We meet monthly, on the second Tuesday, at the The Creative Space.
What typically happens when we gather? We typically have a speaker who shares about the craft or the writing journey. We also have a time for networking and sharing genres, goals, and prayer requests.
This event is free for members, and we welcome you to visit us twice if you are not a member. If you decide to continue, we ask that you become a member or pay a drop in fee of $8.
